Enphase Batteries and EV Charging
Enphase is not a box, it is a platform. The microinverters on the roof, the IQ Battery on the wall and the EV charger in the garage all run on the same system and report into the same app. That only pays off if whoever works on it understands the whole thing rather than one piece of it.
IQ Battery is the natural choice if your solar is already Enphase. It keeps chosen circuits running when the grid drops, stores what your panels make during the day, and is managed from the app you already use. The honest limit is the same as any home battery: it carries the circuits you pick, for as long as the capacity you bought allows. Decide what you want kept alive and for how long before anyone quotes you — that answer drives the whole design.
Enphase EV charging belongs on a house that is already Enphase. The car charges from your own production when the sun is up and backs off when the battery needs to hold reserve for the house, all visible in one place instead of three. If what you want is the cheapest charger wired to the wall, a general electrician will beat our price — worth knowing before you call.
Microinverter trouble is a different job. If a panel or two has gone quiet the cause is usually a failed microinverter rather than the panel itself, and because the electronics sit on the roof behind the array nobody notices until the bill moves. That is repair work, and we do plenty of it.
